The new Dual Sim Range From Samsung

A new era is here, the era of the DUAL SIM phone….what is this? Well, Samsung have released a new Dual Sim range of phones. The phone is aimed mainly at the business user, but for anyone who currently has two mobile phones (usually one for business and one personal). The New Dual Sim range allows you to pop in two separate sim cards into one mobile phone and have them work side by side at the same time. You can make and receive calls on either sim at any time, put calls on hold whilst you answer a call on the other sim, and even switch off one sim and just use the other. The perfect answer to carrying around two mobile phones all the time.

At present, Samsung have released three versions of the dual sim phone. Each one aimed at a slighty different market. Firstly there is the Samsung D780 Dual Sim. This is the cheapest and most basic of the three handsets. It has full dual sim functionality like the other two models, but is a candybar style phone with a 2 megapixel camera and a 2.1 inch screen. It features Bluetooth A2DP connectivity for stereo Bluetooth headsets and a 1200mAh battery for long battery life.

Then the
mid-range phone of the line up is the Samsung D880. Again it has full dual sim functionality. This is a slider with a slighty bigger screen at 2.3 inches and a 3 megapixel camera with a 4x Digital Zoom. It also has the new 1200 mAh battery for increased battery life.

Finally there is the Samsung D980 which is the daddy of the range. This is aimed squarely at the higher end of the market. As you can imagine it has Dual Sim phone functionality but this also has features which would expect from the latest handsets on the market. The D980 has a 5 megapixel camera, full touchscreen interface, GPRS, EDGE and a 45MB internal memory.
